| Abstract: | The particular status, important application and irreplaceable use of the imaginary experiment in physical research are explained systematically associated with plenty of concrete famous examples in history. A refined and accurate definition of the imaginary experiment is given. The dialectic relationship between imaginary experiment and real experiment is compared and analyzed. The difference and relation between imaginary experiment and theoretical hypothesis or deduction is also considered. |
