| Abstract: | The chemical ionization(CI)mass spectra of a series of terpene functional group positional isomers and stereoisomers have been studied using ammonia and isobutane as reagent gases.By investigating their ionization mechanisms,we suggested that a low energy electron impact (LEEI)ionization mode exists in CI processes.Based on the depe- ndence of the LEEI ionization mode on the reagent gas pressure and substrate moleculal structure,the best characterization of the structural differences between above terpene iso- mers was realized by selecting suitable reagent gas pressure.These isomers were efficien- tly distinguished by the proposed method. |
