| Abstract: | A five-step total synthesis of the antibiotic marinopyrrole A (1) is described. The developed synthetic technology enabled the synthesis of several marinopyrrole A analogs whose antibacterial properties against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus TCH1516 were evaluated. |
