Abstract: | Our long-range aim is to propose a forest fire simulator. To this end, we have developed a phenomenological model of fire spread. Then, we have improved it in order to take into account advective transfers thanks to a simplified flow. In this paper, we present in a synthetic way our modelling approach that can also be applied to other phenomenological models. Finally, we compare the model predictions to laboratory experiments.
