Abstract: | An expression of the selectivity value for the voltammetric determination of an ionic analyte in the presence of interfering component(s) at an electrode chemically modified with an ion-exchanger has been developed and applied to the analysis of a model metal-ion mixture. Using distribution coefficient values, the predicted selectivity value was calculated and compared with that obtained experimentally. The approach allows a choice of the ion-exchange resin and experimental conditions for a given analytical task. |
