| Abstract: | The behavior of the plasma and magnetic and electric fields in the current layer that separates oppositely-directed magnetic fields is studied experimentally. The layer is formed by the interaction of a magnetic dipole with a magnetized plasma flow at Mach numbers lower than 10. |
