Abstract:In this paper, the thermal stability of titania supports doped with alkaline earth metal oxides and BaO-TiO_2 supports containing rare earth metal oxides was investigated by BET surface area measurement,SEM, XRD, etc. The thermal stability of catalysts prepared from the above supports for CO combustion was also studied. The results showed that ,the additives suppressed the sintering of titania and hindered the transition of anatase to rutile. The effect of additives depended on their variety of concentration. The surface area stability was the highest when SrO was the dopant. Active components (Cu, Mn, Ce oxides) supported on the binary supports showed higher activity for CO combustion, especially on SrO-TiO_2.
