Abstract:LetH l be the Hamiltonian in aP(phgr)2 theory with sharp space cutoff in the interval (–l/2,l/2). LetE l =infsgr(H l ), agr(l)=–E l /l, and let OHgrl be the vacuum forH l . discuss properties of agr(l) and OHgr l . In particular, aslrarrinfin, there are finite constants betainfin<0 and agrinfin such that agr(l)uarragrinfin, (agr(l)–agrinfin)ldarrbetainfin, and hence agr(l)=agrinfin+betainfin/l+o(l –1). Moreover exp(–c 1 l)lEparOHgr l par1lEexp(–c 2 l) forc 1,c 2 positive constants, where parOHgr l par1 is theL 1(Q, dmgr0) norm of OHgr1 with respect to the Fock vacuum measure.
