Abstract: | The collocation method by spline in tension for the problem: −εy"+p(x)y=f(x), y(0)=α0,y(1)=α1, p(x)>0, 0<ε<<1, is derived. The method has the second order of the global uniform convergence. For the corresponding difference scheme the optimal estimate: O (himin(hi, ε) is obtained.
