| Abstract: | We report the low frequency Raman behaviour of KNbO3 at the orthorombic-rombohedral structural transition. Our measurements suggest that the 50 cm?1 quasimode peak may be attributed to the one phonon density of states triggered to a second order event by a slow fluctuation. |
