Abstract: | ![]() It is shown that Fano-type interference between a discrete (e.g. Rydberg) transition and a continuous (e.g. valence shell) transition can lead to natural circular dichroism line shapes which deviate significantly from simple superposition. The results are illustrated for a chiral molecule of C2 symmetry. |
