Abstract:Soybean phospholipids were separated into phospholipids on a semi-preparative s ilica gel column using HPLC. Phosphatidylcholine(PC), phosphatidylethanolami ne(PE) and phosphatidylinositol(PI) fractions were collected. Their molecular sp ecies compositions were analysed on a revers phase Prodigy ODS(3) column and a g radient elution program performed with chloroform-methanol-acetonitrile-water as a flow phase. Phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidyl inositol were separated into 11, 9 and 10 molecular species respectively. The molecular species identities were assign ed from fatty acid compositions determined by gas chromatography(GC) . The method has advantages of simplicity and availability of solvents .
