Fluid-like instability of trapped electrons in confined plasmas |

| Abstract: | An instability, which does not depend on mode-particle resonances, can be driven by the drift of trapped electrons in the unfavorable curvature region of the confining magnetic field for selected values of the relevant mode transverse wavelengths. |
