| Abstract: | Phase separation in a binary mixture is described by the nonlinearevolutionary Cahn-Hilliard equation. In this paper, we discussthe physical background of the equation and describe its solutionby the Galerkin finite element method. Some theoretical resultsare presented and computationally verified. |
