Nonlinear Convective Stability in a Porous Medium with Temperature-Dependent Viscosity and Inertial Drag

A nonlinear stability analysis of convection in a fluid-saturated porous medium with temperature-dependent viscosity and inertia drag is presented. It is shown that the quadratic drag term is mathematically important and physically significant in ensuring conditional stability.
