| Abstract: | The effect of antisymmetrization in direct reactions is examined by studying the properties of the coupling-normalization kernel function occuring in a resonating-group formulation. From this study, one obtains useful information concerning the general behaviour of direct-reaction processes and some justification for the use of three-body models in phenomenological analyses. |
