| Abstract: | The character and source of background absorption of whole blood and serum are studied. The wavelength-dependence of the background of whole blood treated with ashing is quite similar to that obtained from sodium chloride. This shows that non-specific absorption of whole blood arises mainly from sodium chloride. The background absorption VS atomization time is dependent on the atomization temperature and heating rate. |
