| Abstract: | A series of papers devoted to the synthesis of tryptamines and related structures (tryptophols, homotryptamines, eserines, azatryptamines, etc.) from halocarbonyl compounds and arylhydrazines are correlated. The data on the mechanism of the reaction can be successfully applied to the Fischer indole synthesis. |
