Abstract:
It's shown that the incoherent fluorescence spectrum from a three-level Λ atom with orthogonal atomic transition dipole moments is comprised of a single ultrasharp line by simulating the vacuum-induced coherence (VIC), and the line is on resonance with the driving field. The physical interpretation of the spectral characteristics is given in terms of dressed states.
