Abstract: | A closed-form solution for an arbitrarily laminated, anisotropic plate subjected to uniform loading is presented here for the first time. The theory used is the well-established theory of thin, heterogeneous, anisotropic plates due to Reissner and Stavsky. All components of the stretching, bending-stretching coupling, and bending stiffness matrices are included. The specific geometry considered is an elliptic plate clamped both flexurally and in-plane at its edge. |
