Abstract: | ![]() A simple model mimicking the collision between two atomic partners in the presence of an intense radiation field is investigated according to a two-state, non perturbative approach, to put in quantitative evidence inadequacies in both transition probability and cross section arising from the use of transition amplitudes which are not gauge-invariant. |
