Abstract: | The combination of electrochemistry and spectroscopy has allowed to establish novel charge induced phenomena in colloidal quantum dots thin films, including tuning the optical bandgap, modifying the fluorescence properties, and achieving conductivity. This is a brief review on the topic of charging colloidal quantum dots by electrochemistry.
