Raman spectrum of α and β-Pb3(PO4)2

The Raman spectrum of Pb₃(PO₄)₂ exhibits a progressive modification from the α to the β phase spectrum. No discontinuities are observed at the transition point.One soft mode of A_g type due to a translation mode parallel to the binary axis appears in the α phase.A strong broadening of the Rayleigh line is also observed above and below the transition point.
