| Abstract: | The linear multistep methods with a parameter for solving initial value problems of second order ordinary differential equations y = g(x, y) presented in [21] by the auther are P-stable and possess shape-preserving property. In this paper it will be theoretically proved, that for any positive integer k > 2, both the consistency-order and convergence-order of the k-step methods is k when it is explicit, arid it is k 1 for being implicit. |
