Abstract: | Photon interference indicating wave-like nature of a single photon emitted from a single quantum dot is demonstrated. Photon state as a superposition of two orthogonal linear polarization modes is prepared inside a solid-state single photon source, which causes the first-order interference analogous to the Young’s double slit experiment. The lack of which-mode information is essential for observing the single photon interference. |
