| Abstract: | The structure of tetraacetylethane has been determined by neutron diffraction. The compound exists in the dienolic form, the enolic hydrogen being intramolecularly bonded to a neighbouring oxygen in a clearly asymmetric mode. The acetylacetonate residues are essentially planar. |
