Abstract: | ![]() Multi-valued logic can be viewed as an alternative approach to solving many problems in transmission, storage and processing of large amount of information in digital signal processing. For the first time to our knowledge, the principal of possibilities of design of all-optical quaternary multi-valued literals circuit (truncated sum, truncated difference and down literals) are proposed and described. Here the different quaternary logical states are represented by different polarized state of light. Terahertz optical asymmetric demultiplexer (TOAD) based interferometric switch can take an important role here. Computer simulation result (by Mathcad-7.0) confirming described methods and conclusion are given in this paper. |
