| Abstract: | [reaction: see text] A one-step synthesis of enantiomerically pure anti-1,2-amino alcohol derivatives has been achieved by reaction of prochiral oxygenated 2-p-tolylsulfinylbenzyl carbanions with N-sulfinylimines bearing the same configuration at sulfur. |
