Self-organized Critical Model Based on Complex Brain Networks withHierarchical Organization

The dynamical behavior in the cortical brain network of macaqueis studied by modelling each cortical area with a subnetwork ofinteracting excitable neurons. We find that the avalanche of ourmodel on different levels exhibits power-law. Furthermore thepower-law exponent of the distribution and the average avalanchesize are affected by the topology of the network.
