Object Picture of Electromagnetic Quasinormal Ringing for a StringyBlack Hole

Abstract:
We investigate the evolution of an electromagnetic field in thespacetime of a stringy black hole. The object picture of thequasinormal ringing has been obtained by the finite differencemethod. Compared with a Schwarzschild black hole, the results show thatthe electromagnetic field damps more slowly for a stringy black hole.
