Abstract: | Modification of the liquid Ni(ORN)2, RN = C2H4NMe2, with stoichiometric or sub-stoichiometric amounts of carboxylic acids, HCOOH or CH3COOH, results in formation of crystalline heteroleptic complexes Ni6(OH)2(ORN)6(OCOR)2, R = H (1), CH3 (3) with the core structure closely analogous to that observed earlier for hexanuclear titanium (IV) alkoxide carboxylates and derived from hexagonal packing of the donor atoms. |
