On the experimental verification of the Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal effect

A theoretical explanation is given for the “unexpected” behavior recently observed in the radiation spectrum of ultrarelativistic electrons in a thin layer of matter in an experimental investigation of the Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal effect at SLAC S.
