Interaction of plane gravitational waves with variable polarization

A solution is obtained in the paper, in the general theory of relativity, for the interaction of plane gravitational waves with variable polarization, by the application of Geroch's method to Szekeres' problem of the interaction of plane linearly polarized gravitational waves.
