| Abstract: | The Lyapunov exponents and the Kolmogorov Sinai entropy for 2- and 3-dimensional, dilute, random Lorentz gases in a magnetic field are calculated. The results are obtained by combining simple kinetic theory with geometric methods from dynamical systems theory. The Lyapunov exponents are explicitly calculated up to second order in the magnetic field. |
