The Experimental Study of a 100 W Copper Vapor Laser
Abstract:A 100 W copper vapor laser is reported. Its structure and discharge circuit are described. The laser consists of a discharge tube of 65 mm diameter and 2200 mm length. The laser gave 112 W maximum output average power at 5 kHz repetition rate using neon as the buffer gas with 11 kW electrical input power supply. The efficiency of the laser was about 1%.
