Abstract: | ![]() Based on the plastic-dynamic equations, the asymptotic behaviour of the near-tip fields for a plane stress tensile crack propagating in a power-law material has been studied in this paper. It is shown that the stress and strain singularities are, respectively, of the order and , whereA is a constant which is related to the size of plastic region,r is the distance to the crack tip,n is the power-law exponent.
