Abstract: | The quantization of a homogeneous isotropic Friedmann model of the universe that is occupied by a quantized scalar field is considered in the superspace approach of Wheeler and DeWitt. Steady-state perturbation theory is used to show that in the region N 1, 10–23, N=1, 2,..., where it is applicable, the steady-state solutions of the DeWitt equation have a discrete spectrum corresponding to discrete energy levels of the steady state of the cosmological model M= (2N + 1)Mo, Mo = 10–5 g.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 7, pp. 113–117, July, 1977.In conclusion the authors thank Sen.
