| Abstract: | Abstract A high-pressure Raman scattering study reveal that crystalline LiN-bO3 and LiTaO_3 become amorphous at about 40 GPa non-hydrostatic pressure.This transformation is irreversible and results from the severe distortion of crystal lattice. |
