Abstract: | ![]() A device for simultaneous measurement of thermal properties (specific heat, latent heat and related properties) and electric properties (such as permittivity, dielectric spectroscopy) based on conduction calorimetry is explained. The device is used to study the commensurate-incommensurate (lock-in) phase transition in Rb2ZnCl4 single crystal. This transition is found to be first-order. Thermal and dielectric anomalies are discussed. |
