| Abstract: | The chemistry of cyclooctatetraenyl lanthanide complexes is currently receiving considerable attention. Many cyclooctatetraenyilanthanide complexes have been reported during the past several decades. The results show that cyclooctatetraenyl ligands with larger size and higher negative charges can often generate stable organolanthanide complexes of novel structures and unique properties. Herein is a brief review on the synthesis, structure and reactivity of these complexes. |
