| Abstract: | Summary By taking into account the retardation effects a finite result for the frequency shift of the Lyman α-radiation from a two-level
hydrogenic atom is obtained. This result shows a nonnegligible correction as compared to previous results obtained in the
dipole approximation with a cut-off frequency. |
