光信息综合实验中光源的选择和性能改善

摘    要:在光信息综合实验中,在分析氦氖激光器的优缺点的基础上,阐述了半导体激光器的显著优点以及存在的一些局限性。利用实验室现有的器件,引导学生对半导体激光器进行了光束准直和整形以提高激光器的性能,并用已优化的半导体激光器作为光源进行了全息光栅和全息透镜的制备以及电光调制和液晶光阀等实验。结果表明,性能改善的半导体激光器完全可以取代氦氖激光器,可满足光信息综合实验的要求。在整个设计制作过程中,培养了学生分析问题和解决问题的能力。

Abstract:The elegant characteristics of the laser diode and its limits are introduced based on the analyzing of the advantages and disadvantages of the HeNe laser.In order to improve the performance of laser diode,the students are guided to collimate and shape the laser diode beam with available devices in the laboratory.Some experiments,such as the fabrication of holographic grating and lens,the electro-optic modulation and liquid crystal light valve modulation,are carried out with the improved laser diode.The results indicate that the improved laser diode can replace the He-Ne laser and meet the requirements of synthetic experiments on optical information.
