Evidence for high-l rydberg states in atomic lithium excited by electron impact |

| Abstract: | By a time-of-flight technique we have studied the radiative decay of lithium atoms excited to high Rydberg levels by electron impact. The observed decay rates are consistent with large values for the orbital angular momentum quantum number l. |
