| Abstract: | Abstract Airborne measurements of the vertical and horizontal distributions of nonmethane hydrocarbons and methyl chloride over western Europe are reported. Annual emission cycles have been calculated from the seasonal variations of mixing ratios using a simple one-dimensional two-box model. They indicate natural sources of ethene, propene, i-butane, i-pentane, and methyl chloride. Grab samples were analysed by subambient temperature programmed gas chromatography. |
