Synthesis and Crystal Structure Investigation of Trinitrotriamminerhodium(III) [Rh(NO2)3(NH3)3]

Abstract:	Synthesis of the complex Rh(NO₂)₃(NH₃)₃] is described. The compound crystallizes as monoclinic colorless plates. Crystal data: a = 7.176(10), b = 10.407(2), c = 10.989(2) , = 93.27°, V = 819.3(2) ³, space group ${{P2_1 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{P2_1 } m}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} m}$ , Z = 4, d _calc = 2.367 g/cm³. The structure is molecular and built of neutral complexes having cis-facial configuration. The unit cell of the crystal contains two independent complexes.
