Run-up and spin-up in a viscoelastic fluid. IV

Three problems are discussed — run-up when the fluid is contained between infinite parallel plates and longitudinal run-up and spin-up when it is contained in an infinitely long circular cylinder. The procedure adopted for solving these problems differs from that employed in Part I of this series, where these three problems were previously discussed, and yields results for the velocity fields in quite different forms. It is similar to that used in Part III in the context of the problem of run-up between parallel plates.
