Abstract:
The emission process for eigenstates of a model Dirac Hamiltonian of “muffintin” type is described in terms of relativistic electric dipole (E1) transitions with the assumption that the final state is a localized core eigenstate of the system. The proposed method is applied to theL-emission spectrum of V in VC and to theL- andM-emission spectrum of Nb in NbC. Resulting theoretical spectra are compared with experimental data.
