| Abstract: | Inner-shell ionization in adiabatic heavy-ion collisions is calculated within the monopole approximation by using the relativistic united-atom representation for the wave functions. As an example, ionization probability and energy distribution of theδ-electrons is given for the (Pb, Pb) system and compared with experiment. |
