On duality in e+e- annihilation

With the help of a relativistic generalization of a formula for the leptonic width of quarkonium in the quasiclassical approximation it is shown that the sum of a sufficiently large number of total cross sections for the production of the quarkonium state (Q$\text{Q}$)_n in e⁺e^- annihilation is equal to the total cross section for production of a quasi-free quark- antiquark pair Q$\text{Q}$.
