Abstract:	Appropriately protected guanosine derivatives were successfully converted to the corresponding O⁶-substituted guanosine derivatives by treatment with dialkyl- or diaryl-phosphoryl halides, dialkyl- or diaryl-phosphinothioyl halides, arenesulfonyl chlorides, and trialkylsilyl chlorides.
